20+ years of experience in the Arabian horse world, having worked for some of the best names in the industry for Halter, Dressage and Performance, then went on to be
head trainer for Western Cross Ranch, Kehilan Arabians and Toskhara Arabians for several years at each farm before going out on her own and beginning Solstice Training Center, LLC. "Solstice"
represents change, and that is what she has set out to do -- change the way sending your horse out to a trainer is viewed. Personalized communication, individualized training methods, each horse is
treated as part of the family, a friend and partner and given the same loving care she would wish for her own horses. Owners are called, text or emailed as frequently as desired and communication is
swiftly returned. It has been thought that you can not have all this and a winning, successful barn, but Wendye is proving "them" wrong, with National accolades in Dressage, Sport Horse and Halter,
her Amateurs and Youth having won Nationally in Dressage, Halter, Western and Hunter Pleasure. She is also strongly advocating the new Western Dressage division and invites anyone out to take a
lesson and give it a try!
The horse comes first, and the difference is undeniable in your horse's lasting foundation in training, obvious enjoyment of their job and the partnership and enhanced communication you will feel with your horse while you bring home those roses! One of Wendye's forte's is marketing and selling horses because of her enthusiasm with matching the right horse and person for a lifetime bond, and absolute honesty.
Wendye began her love of horses with Morgans and Andalusians before moving into Arabians and enthusiastically (excitedly!) accepts both these breeds for training and showing as well as any breed whose owner would like a kind, individualized and solid foundation or empathetic finish for a lifetime partnership!
For fun, Wendye loves Endurance/Competitive Trail Riding, World of Warcraft, Renaissance festivals, cats, movies and reading!
We have been blessed with incredible staff, who treat the horses as fairly and lovingly as demanded at Solstice, and couldn't do this without them!
